Q: What are the characteristics of your database? Why do we use your database?
A: Each sequence in the Allergenia database has underwent rigorous manual double-blind check, so as to make Allergenia a most authentic allergen database, with zero redundancy and zero invalid information (invalid: with allergen entry but having no sequences information).
Q: I am a novice, how to use your database?
A: Please see “How to start” page. Corresponding introduction and manual are displayed in each function page.

Q: Why did the page remind me set min (minimum) value when I used routine Blast?
A: Routine BLAST search of allergen sequences omits the display of results that may have matching identities to short fragments. The readers can choose the level for the search threshold (min), which is thus able to retrieve results above minimum matching levels i.e. the higher the matching identity requested, the longer the exact matched sequence needed. If no matching level is chosen, the website is directed to retrieve the sequence with a default threshold of 100% identity to the full-length sequence.
Q: How to submit a new sequence to enrich the database?
A: Please send the sequence information to our contact email. We will add it to the database after checking its accuracy. Your contribution will be recorded.
